Autumn
nature in a blaze of colour
The series ‘Autumn Palette’ were shot in Ontario, Canada and uses a colour palette inspired from paintings produced by a group of Canadian landscape artists in the 1920s. Known as the ‘Group of Seven’, they took inspiration from the nature that surrounded them in Ontario. Their work features in The National Gallery of Canada and the McMichael Collection.
The series ‘Falling leaves’ was inspired by a morning walk in the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire. The leaves falling and branches blowing in the wind all created a sense of movement that were captured through longer exposures.
